yeah, I know having pingbacks is good according to some of my friends. But I am really no expert when it comes to SEO. Why am I saying this??? Please read on to understand.
Lately, I have been receiving a lot of pingbacks from the site below:
ex. 1: TOPAMUSE.COM
ex. 2: FUNNYTEXT.INFO
now my question is, is it really good for the health of this site that some people literally take the TITLES of my posts as is and HI-JACK my KEYWORDS?
I know that this is how thing are when dealing with websites, but I just want to know for myself if they have some sort of an “Automated Program” or something that regularly checks several website’s content then grab their post title and some other text they may scour and then post it on their blog? I was lucky enough that they even thought about linking back (that’s really nice eh). (sigh)
Can I do something about it? Well, I just hope someone can. is this how PINGBACKS are supposed to work?
Forgive me but it just depresses me seeing that my efforts for site optimization seems to go unprotected or even abused.
Anyway still, I am happy that google still considers me among the searches but together with my post, I also saw that “they” made it.
Oh my, I was rambling again.
I just hope that I don’t get any penalty or something.
Ciao!
