I’ve just finished watching Mirrors which stars Kiefer Sutherland of the popular television series “24″. All I could say is WOW!!! the visuals are so detailed and the suspense was top notch.

The movie tagline “There Is Evil……..On The Other Side” is really simple to comprehend. By the movie title itself “Mirrors”, you may have mistaken it for some kind of documentary drama. But given the tagline its another story.

I known before I have watch the movie that it was a horror film. I heard that from one of my officemate. But WTF! I didn’t expect it to be so cool.The movie started out with a man running on the subway station, haunted by something which eventually lead to a room with a large mirror. The guy kept on apologizing to the broken mirror. Then the best part was when the image on the mirror had a life of its own, and using a piece of the broken mirror the guy held on his hand, the “reflection” slash his neck, revealing what we guys are supposed to say COOL!!! Oh man the detail of the blood gushing out of the guy’s neck was freaky and gory.

Ooops… I think I have spoiled enough already. Continue if you wanted to be spoiled more.

I was really surprised and felt like I was gonna throw up. I am really prejudiced when it comes to american horror movies. I’ve always believed that 50% of American made horror films are just crap. But this one belongs to the better half. And Kiefer who played the character of “Ben Carson” did good as well.

The mirror was a demonic force which came from a child who was supposedly a schizophrenic.The child was treated by a doctor using a room room full of mirrors. In the process the evil entity was transferred to the mirrors and stayed their until the day it met Ben Carson. Carson (which was still trying to recover from an incident involving shooting a fellow officer), did everything he could to save his family from being killed by the demon.
