Yesterday, I really had fun.

I and 15 or more of my officemates went to the annual Graphika Manila Conference held at the SM Mall Of Asia Premiere Cinema.

It was my first time to go to this gathering of multimedia designers and all that I could say is it was really awesome.

some stuff I got from the event

I didn’t like all of the speakers but I did like 2 of them. First was the guy from Pixar Studios and the other one was the guy from Acid House. Both of the speakers/groups was into visual media.

The one from Pixar showed how it was when they created Ratatouie (did I spelled it right?) it was a simple 4 stage process which was something like concept – layout – blocking – final render. Someone from my area asked which software Pixar uses, then someone answered that it was an “in-house” software that Pixar themselves own. Hehe I really don’t know.

And the other one which came from Acid House Post was also very good. He told us about his experiences when he was just starting out on his craft. He also happened to be the one who created some reels on ABS-CBN like the Bandila logo and intro, Bisitasyon (a twilight zone like, x file series) and some other more fancy and cool music videos.

tokidoki – very famous among girls

There was also the TOKIDOKI guy Simone Legno who talked about his works like the one above. He was really famous amongst girls because of his Japanese inspired visuals and apparels.

The Embassy Bar co-owner Tim Yap also was a speaker at the said event. And because of this, participants of Graphika Manila were given access to the Embassy bar later that evening.

Of course! yours truly and my officemates went to grab the opportunity (this will be my opportunity to finally get inside) . It was “open bar” for us from 8pm to 10pm but unfortunately we got there at around 10pm. I was lucky to get one free glass of Chivas. San Miguel Lights costs around 140pesos which made me think twice whether to grab one.

All I can say is that the people at the bar (even just at the entrance) was dashing and gorgeous! The girls, man!!! all I can was WOW!!! with my mouth hanging and my eyes feasting. LOLS
