This was not the first attempt to land a rover/lander on the red planet known as Mars. I am really sorry but I am not quite familiar with mankind’s effort on space exploration

However, this image caught my attention… See the DVD and the American flag?

This color image, released by NASA on May 26, 2008, shows the American flag and a mini-DVD on the Phoenix Mars Lander spacecraft’s deck, which is about one meter above the Martian surface. The mini-DVD from the Planetary Society contains a message to future Martian explorers, science fiction stories and art inspired by the Red Planet, and the names of more than a quarter million earthlings. The DVD was an amazing idea…. Yeah, what if the world (earth) was destroyed or attacked or maybe fell into a catastrophic disaster? and we are left to start all over again… Cave man like those we see in movies or even in RPG games..

The entire human civilization lost and another breed comes.. Then they also explore the Red Planet and they see the mini-DVD as a relic of the past or some alien life form…

Haha.. I think too much…

Well… NASA is really working their heads into these things (space exploration).

Hope that time will come that we will have a vacation there at Mars…

Ciao!

  • Very nice insight Malliobiana... Although I am not quite familiar with bible characters, I am sure Cathetel will be nice based on your description...

Also, I noticed that Cathetel is the name of your site..

Send a suggestion letter to NASA perhaps?
  • They used the name Phoenix again for the Martian Lander, having used it once before for a Lunar Mission. When it comes time for a manned mission, perhaps they could call it Cathetel, after the Angel of the Garden, since turning Mars into a Garden of Eden is a definite option.
