Wanted to Buy a Myphone T11 (Features / Specifications)
By The Mouse Potato | April 9, 2008
I used to be addicted to cellphone units back at college. I used to see to it that I have not the best phone in the market but at least a very good one. However, I have noticed these recent years that I really lost that interest of mine and shifted my focused to other things instead.
I currently have a none-colored cellphone, a 6210. Yeah I always carry a BRick! So what, But it has been very useful for some time, I only used it to call and text. Besides I am not really into texting friends anymore. I just use it for important matters.
But a recent visit to the mall cellphone shops caught me the attention of a particular phone — the Myphone T11

According to my research, it is from Solid Broadband Corporation, a licensee of Sony products here in the Philippines. My father said that it is a Filipino company. Being a licensee of Sony, you get to warranty it at Sony service centers.
It may look like something that is worth 20,000php, but really, its not a pocket PC phone. It is just a cellphone, mp3 player. camera unit that you can get for 6900php.
I have tested the unit on one of the Electroworld shops when we bought a motorola phone. It is very much like a PDA phone. The buttons are arranged in a 4 x 3 grid but with 4 columns across. So it means you are going to adapt yourself f0r a while since the “*, 0 and #” are on the right side instead at the bottom. I dont’t know if its a dual-sim phone like its brother the “t22″. But I guess this one is not.
BTW, it comes with 2 batteries and can accommodate a 2gb SD card and it also comes with a white one

With regards to the quality of its mp3 and camera/video, I’ve only manage to test the camera/video. I guessed you can compare it to some Nokia camera phone models which you can buy for 4k up.
The only drawback is that the phone screen has a low resolution of 240px x 320px with 262k colors which is the opposite of some Nokia models wherein the images look sharp and beautiful.
I have not yet seen a picture taken with it on a PC as so to scrutinize whether it is ok or not.
According to what I have heard, this is China made. There are even cases that the phone displays unrecognized characters since some are using old phone OS (operating system) . Some cases even reported the phone going blank while listening to mp3 music for some time.
My friends are looking forward to buy this unit. I’ll keep you updated.
Ciao!

@broken angel - it really depends on who will use the phone. A regular mobile phone user might be really disappointed with myphone because he or she is very fond of “nokia-like” features and functionality. Let us admit that t11 is not what you think it is. But my sister who currently owns one, looks contented with what the phone has to offer.
