You Simply Can’t Please Everybody
By The Mouse Potato | March 6, 2008
Each of us whether we are aware of it or not, have our own way of socializing with other people within our network may it be relatives, friends, colleagues or even your boyfriends/girlfriends. You can be the non-talkative type, the cool-all around type, the smart girl/guy type and many more which I leave you to find out for yourself. But the truth is, no matter what type of person you are in your own little network, you just simply cannot please everybody.
It is the bitter truth that no matter how hard you try to be neutral about things, be good at what you do (even though not being the best) and trying to find ways to communicate better — there will still be at least one person that doesn’t like what you do, how you act and much worst — doesn’t like you.
I’ve have had my share of experiences like this ever since high school. I did have some during college, but I never actually experienced one at a workplace not until recently.I understand the high school days because I know we are kids/teens during those times, and that the hormones are just kicking in at the moment. We are very aggressive, emotional and prone at those days back at high school. During college, it is even lesser since we are more mature about things, we try to take changes in preparation for what will be our next role after graduation and this is none other than to be the so-called professionals of each of our own specializations.
I guess old habits are really hard to break. This statement is a fact rather than just my opinion. But all of us must understand the big difference about being objective and being subjective in what ever we try to do.
We are being objective when we try to look at things practically and not on what do they seem thinking that there is more to it than meets our eye and that we have to use a portion of the 10% efficiency of our brain to determine it. Subjectivity on the other hand works together with our emotions to make actions and judgements, which in several cases produce undesirable results.
Gee, grow up — this is only what I can say. Stop being childish and act like your age.
Just a piece of advice.
1. Just be your self, don’t try to be someone else.
2. Don’t mind what others have to say when you know deep inside that you are not doing anything wrong or bad. **thanks raks for this one**
3. Do your work, get it done quickly but efficiently with no/least errors (i prefer with no errors,)
4. Improve — don’t be contented on what you know
5. Choose your friends
6. Don’t speak against other people’s backs
7. Mind your own business.
8. Others you might wish to add. XD
Hmm. what else? if you want to add something more, please to tell me or put it on your comments.
Oops, got to go… Ciao!

What can I say is stop caring about how people perceive you. Just do what you think is right. Let’s accept the fact that people tend to resent on what other’s have (possessions, talents, achievements). People were born with selfish instinct.
