So Many Things Happened That Saturday!
By The Mouse Potato | November 11, 2007
Geeh, so many things happened yesterday (november 10, saturday). What were they? Hmm.. wait, let me recall. =)
Oh, it started like this.
I woke up at around 7am in the morning hearing the voices of the people downstairs preparing for something. Well, i thought to myself “what are they up to now?”. Then I remembered that they (my father and friends) talked about going to Meycauyan, Bulacan at Demak motors to have some parts for warranty.
Ok then, so I got up and went down. Still with bad breath I greeted them. And then I ask to come along. Then off we go!
First stop: Demak motors. As they were checking up our friend Richard’s scooter, I went around the storage room and scrutinized my “soon to be” ride. The DMR 150
I really want to have this one. When it comes to rides may it be 4 wheels or 2, I really love to have it on red with a slight touch of black. You can see that on my current ride below. (btw, the photo was taken several months ago, it looks a lot different now)
While waiting for the repairs to be finish, Me, Alex and Eddie Boy went to Bocaue, Bulacan to try and talk to a fireworks manufacturer which Boy knew personally. They showed us some of their works like the children’s favorite, the mabuhay, vitory light, roman candles up to the quite expensive pagodas and Judas belt.
After our small chitchat, I was moved into the idea of investing some money on fireworks for this year. I am not the business man type, but I think that a little something for business will give me and my family a trip to the amusement park this Christmas.
After we left the fireworks factory, we went back to Demak motors at Meycauyan to see if the repairs were done. We arrived there just on time. Before we left I talked to Rochel, The office manager, about my application on the DMR 150 ride that I talked about earlier. She happily told me that they were just waiting for the opening of the KServico branch at Meycauyan, Bulacan. I guessed that maybe, my application will be approved. =)
It was around 11:30am when we left the factory. Eddie Boy suggested a place to eat our lunch since our stomachs then were grunting and craving for food. He told us he knew a place just 5kms from where we were at that point. So we went to this place which was supposedly only 5kms but seemed like 15kms. We arrived at this place called Nina’s Restaurant. Under their business name comes the slogan “home of the fried itik” (fried duck)
Wow! This place was really amazing. The dining area was placed above a very big fish pond full of Catfishes or “Hito”. I guess looking at the photos will help you better.
What I really liked most about the place was the atmosphere. It was located besides a rice field. As I told you earlier, it was like 15kms from the main road. It was somewhere deep in San Jose, Plaridel, Bulacan, based on their address. I am very not familiar at this places, glad that I tagged along. come to think of it, so many people come and dine at this remote place. The only catch is that there are no public transports going to this place. You need to have a car or something to be able to go here. I think we came across some mini buses and a couple of delivery trucks but that was it.
The catfish? Oh yeah, they were some mean looking creatures. Everything we dropped on the pond, they grabbed like a bunch of zombies. LOL
We stayed there up until 4pm. We hardly noticed the time pass by that we ordered not only lunch but merienda as well.
Just before we left Bulacan, we stopped by the famous “Popular Puto & Cutchinta House” and ordered several packs of their specialty which we then ate later that evening. And as if everything we ate wasn’t enough, Uno Lim, Rolan Valeriano and our Brgy. Chairman “Chow” held a small celebration for their victory last election. We were summoned to get our share of the food. Geeh, I was still full from the food and dessert at the resto as well as the puto’t cutchinta and there I was, shoving more food unto my mouth. Hmm.. I guess I really won’t be able to loose weight this way. LOL
Hehe…
Later that evening we lighted up the fireworks!!!
