A Very Good Helmet
By The Mouse Potato | May 16, 2007
“Always wear safety gears when riding your motor cycle” said my father. Well, he is indeed right. Although I know this deep down inside, I kept on riding my new motorcycle around our community without any kind of protection. Bottom line, we had an argument that led me to finally get a decent helmet.
I have a helmet, a red one, included with the motor I bought. But I really hate to use it since I believe that it would serve girls/ladies best with its red color and small size. Being the man I am, I really wanted to wear a helmet that everyone will find to suit me the best. That is why yesterday, I headed to 10th avenue, Caloocan City to find myself the helmet I desire.
It took me quite a while to look around the shops. I was quite in a hurry since I arrived there at around 5:30pm which is almost closing time for majority of the accessories shop there. I really hated those vendors/salespersons who doesn’t entertain prospective buyers. Everytime I walk in a store, no one would assist me unless they are ask. On the other hand, I like it when I can freely look around without someone pestering me or questions me constantly what am I going to buy. But still, an assistance from them will be greatly appreciated.
To cut to the chase, I ended up buying a white/black helmet. Actually, it was the first helmet I saw that time from the first store I went into to look. But instead of purchasing it right away, I decided to look around more and expected to find something much better. But to no avail I found none that can match what I recently bought. It was way too expensive in the first place. Gee, I spent an additional 600 pesos just to buy that helmet. Well, try to include a fiery battle of haggling (just exaggerating…). But it was worth it.
Unfortunately I cannot find any pictures to show what my new gear looks like. But I am sure that it is an eye catcher.
Before I finish my post, I just want to add one more thing. I also bought a new seat cover. Hell it really gave a new daring look to my stock motor. I guess a bit of added stuff can really make a big difference.
I wanted to buy a lot of things that day. But I don’t have the resources to go all the way. I am just looking forward on my so-called sponsors for their support on my new hobby.
Anyways, this ends here…
Ciao!
