Just a few days ago, I decided to get a part-time job. Why, you might ask? Well, my answer is fairly simple. I needed money to finance my expenses. Besides, my graduation is already near, so a bit of experience aside from my internship will prove to be worthwhile, right? :-)

Earlier this morning at around 11:30am, someone from Convergys called me on my cellular phone. I was really shocked because when I woke up this morning, I felt that this will be the day that somebody will call me for an interview. And there I was, my phone was ringing. But of all the moments for my phone to ring, it rung while I was at a jeepney going to school. I was really late for my first class and the jeepney was really running slow. Everything was really noisy on the streets but still I answered my phone. I said, “Hello”. Then someone answered in a female voice asking for Neil (which is me of course). I answer “YES” and she ask if I am still interested on the job application I sent (well my girlfriend sent it) a couple of days ago. I thought to myself, “whoah, this is really something, a real job interview, aside from my mock interview at school and the one which I had when trying as an intern at Araneta”. I said yes again and as she was trying to give me the details, I gave her a halt when I said if she could call me later because I was at a jeepney and everything is really noisy. Fortunately, she agreed and ask what time should she call. I suggested 1:00pm cause my class would be over by then. She called at around 2:20pm, I thought that she would never call again because I told her to do so. I first thought that I may have offended her because of what I did. Luckily she called, it was a relief. We agreed on an interview this coming thursday at Robinsons at Ortigas. I am to look for a lady named Alex at around 9:30 am in the morning. It seems too early for my regular habit. But because this is a job, then I must put some effort on it.
