You Might Ask, Why The High Blood Pressure Post?

Yesterday, at around 4:30pm, I and 2 of my officemates came down to the 8th floor to eat ‘merienda’. As I had mentioned in an earlier post, I got sick last saturday (you getting this?). As we are eating our merienda, mine which is “sopas”, I suddenly felt my vision getting blurred. I asked myself what I might have done to cause this problem again… Well, I am really clueless.

This kind of thing happens to me once in a while. Let us say 2-3 times in a year with each occurence affecting me for 3 - 5 days. I really hate this when it happens. I lost focus on all the things that I am currently doing. And the problem is that I really don’t know what cause it… what?

Back to yesterday’s events…

Before I lost control of myself, one of my supervisor asked me if I wanted to go to the clinic since I am not feeling well. Of course I agreed, besides, I wanted to know what is the cause of all this s#!tty stuff I am going through.

When we came to the clinic (i was with Don), the nurse in-charge took my blood pressure. And the reading showed that I got a 130/90 reading. The nurse said that it was kinda high for a 22 year old fellow like me. She also added that my reading was close to the boundary.

The nurse gave me some tablet which she intructed that I put under my tongue. It tasted like chalk, in fact, it doesn’t have taste at all. The tablet was white in color and about a fourth of the size of a shirt button. She said that it will help lower my blood pressure. And you know what? it actually did lower my blood pressure. After taking two tablets (coz 1 tablet isn’t enough), I felt a lot easier but I still felt like vomitting out all I had eaten. Even with all the undescribable sensations I have, I still managed to pull myself together. The nurse gave me another medicine, a mefanamic capsule to be more specific which happened to be the last. After that she asked me to take a rest in one of the rooms. After taking a rest which I think lasted for 30 minutes or so, I felt more relieved and decided to go home.

Sheez… It really felt undesirable.

I came back to the 17th floor. I talked to some of my officemates about what was the verdict on me. I told them that I had high blood pressure but it was taken care of already. I took my things and packed up so I can go home. I can still remember that I slept all the way home when I was on jeep or on train. I tried so hard to calm my body so that I can make the bad things go away. I was like a child trying to fight the monster in the closet by closing their eyes and hoping that they will just leave.

When I came home, I ate dinner, told my dad what happened, talked to my girlfriend, then finally I slept like log the whole night. I never had the chance to say goodnight because I was so tired and I had a terrible headache.

I promised to myself that I will start to exercise again and that I will refrain from eating salty and foods with lots of cholesterol. Maybe, just maybe, I might solve this problem.

Later, Ciao!
