A Very Exciting Monday At Araneta Coliseum With PACQUIAO, LARIOS & many more
By The Mouse Potato | June 26, 2006
I never really expected my monday to be this exciting! I woke up early this morning with only one thing on my mind, “Its monday and usually mondays sucks”. However, it was the other way around.
Earlier this morning, as I was taking my breakfast of “Pancit Canton” and a glass of milo, my dad told me that Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Larios will have a fight today. I didn’t gave much attention to what he said thinking that I can’t watch it anyways.
Our office at Aurora Tower is located just within Araneta Center in Cubao. So it only means that Aranata Coliseum is just a stone’s throw
away from where I work. Then at around 10:00, there was an announcement that we can watch the Sparring Practice of the two boxers of “Mano A Mano”. Of course, we all rushed to watch.
It was my first time to ever set foot at Araneta Coliseum. I had many chances but today is the first. We where given patron tickets, located just around the perimeter of the ring. We sat between the ring and the performance stage. The production was hosted by ABS-CBN channel 2.
I came there together with my supervisors, friends, and other staff. When we came there, we saw Jenny Miller, Cherry Lou, and Nene (The winner of the first edition of pinoy big brother) practicing their dance steps for the performance later on to be shown at televisions later this evening.

Here on the right are the celebrities I’ve mentioned. From left is Cherry, then Me, followed by Nene and then Last but not the least, Jenny Miller. Jenny had the nicest butt I’ve ever seen. This is a compliment and not a exaggeration, hmmmmmmmm…mind you….
Then, there was Bamboo, together with his best friends (haha…just wishing). We caught him hiding near the back stage exit and grabbed the opportunity to take pictures. He was very friendly. He had an assistant or maybe her sister or girlfriend who assists the fans who wants to take his pictures… That was really kind of him..haha.
Here with me is Mr. Chino Trinidad. A very popular sports commentator and reporter.
I just love taking pictures with celebrities…haha
This one, called the Itchiworms is a local band who sung the hit song “Akin ka na lang”. It goes like this, “akin ka na laaaaang….Iingatan ko ang puso mo….lalala”. We looked like best buds here… Together with me is Lance, Don and Ziad. The Itchiworms are the ones with the neckties on them. Lance is the one on the far left and Ziad is beside me. So Don is the one behind…
He is Mr. Cedric Limos, my supervisor for Intern1. Thanks to him, I was able to watch the show… At the background is Manny Pacquiao, together with the hosts of the program, Cassandra Ponti, Bayani Agbayani, Diane Castellejo, and another one which I forgot.
Well, that is all for this day… I guess that it was not such a boring day after all…
We really had a great time… If you are gonna ask me whom shall I cheer between Pacquiao and Larios, of course I’d go for Manny… He is a filipino after all… Mabuhay!…
One more thing, I forgot to mention that Jet Pangan of “The Dawn” and the band called Sandwich was also there. Sandwich sung the “SUGOD MGA KAPATID!!!…”
