The Prince And The Hamster

I have a pet hamster, namely a “Teddy Bear” hamster which I had bought 4 months ago. Recently I felt kinda guilty since I wasn’t able to give much attention to him. I was busy at office work that I nearly haven’t had the time to clean his cage and give him a decent set of food. I also admit that I left him all alone at my room the whole day for a month, and I think that might have been a really lonely experience.
So in order to make up for what I did, I gave his purple cage a general cleaning. I replace the wood shavings, brushed clean the wire frame and gave him a regular ration of fruits, vegetables and cooked meat. Its like I’m a prince giving comfort and security to his poor subject, in my case, my dear hamster.
Hamster have 2-2½ years to live. That is why I want it to live in happines. In our country, animals are not loved the way americans do. To us animals or pets are just what they are. But I think I’m beginning to understand that they can’t live without us. I guess people do change.
By the way I called him “hamster”, its the first name that I became fond of calling him. He is the sleeping white and grey colored thing on the picture…
